Bobby Royce Davenport, 86, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at UNC Rex Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 11 at 3:00 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Bobby, a native of Lenoir County, was born January 29, 1935 to Walter and Janie Katherine Davenport. He proudly served in the US Navy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Virgil and Sonny; one grandchild, Taylor Thompson; one brother, Leham Davenport; two sisters, Nola Dean Stroud and Margaret Tyndall.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Becky) Davenport, Helen Davenport and husband, Michael Raines; son, Bobby (Buddy) and wife, Sharon; two sisters Ronell Harper of Deep Run, and Brenda Pearce of Raleigh; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
