Letter to the Editor: Ian “Joey” Solomon for Felicia Solomon for Mayor

I submit this letter of endorsement with an acknowledged, inherent bias. You see, Felicia Solomon is my sister. I have known her all of my life and have had the joy of seeing her grow into the leader that she is and I firmly believe she is what the City of Kinston needs at this moment, at this time, and at this cross roads. My sister is genuinely concerned about the well-being of all people and is selfless in all that she does.

She has often told me about the family she has assisted in need or the charity function she worked for various organizations. I have admired her work as an educator for more than 3 decades as she pours into the people she encounters and to this day, still maintains positive relationships with so many of those colleagues, students, and others she has come across.

More than anything else, Kinston needs a leader that is OF the people, for ALL people, and believes in the POWER of people. I can speak to this with authority, because I have witnessed it all my life. Help the city of Kinston thrive, help the city of Kinston accelerate the will to revive, by electing Felicia Solomon Mayor.
