Superior Court Clerk Dawn Stroud announces she will retire when her term ends
Dawn Stroud has announced her retirement after 32 years of service as the Clerk of Superior Court. She will serve out the remainder of her term which expires December 2022.
Stroud posted her announcement on Facebook.
“It has been my honor and my privilege to serve the people of North Carolina and the citizens of Lenoir County since 2002.
I am extremely thankful God allowed me this opportunity because without Him none of this would have been possible. I will be retiring with 32 years of service with the State of North Carolina. I look forward to serving each of you until December 2022 when my current term will expire.
This was a very difficult decision to make. I love my job, however, I feel like it is time to move on to another chapter in my life.
Thank you again for the confidence you have had in me and allowing me to continue to serve in this position. I could not have done it without the loving support of my family, a wonderful staff and each and every one of you.”
