Parrott holds Cum Laude induction

Parrott Academy’s Cum Laude Society chapter recognized 15 inductees in a ceremony held at the school on April 19th. Associate Headmaster Hugh Pollock recognized five seniors who were inducted in the spring of 2020 but did not have an induction ceremony due to the pandemic. They were Addie Cheek, Ayush Lamsal, Eli Steinberg, Colby Tant, and Will Whitley.
Seniors inducted this year were Koleman Denton, Garrison Mullen, Elizabeth Norris, and Matthew Piwowarski. Junior inductees were Sofia Brantley, Garrett Gilgo, Stewart Hardee, Nastia Hnatov, Landon Kearney, and Sean Murphy. Additionally, Head of School Brooks Sutton inducted two faculty members: Mrs. Anne Bryant and Mrs. Catherine Norris.
Founded in 1906, the Cum Laude Society is an international honor society modeled on Phi Beta Kappa. Parrott has had a chapter since 2013. The society promotes learning and sound scholarship in secondary schools.
