Lenoir County’s Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma recently recognized outstanding beginning teachers in their third year of teaching.

Congratulations to Mr. Russell Blackburn, Chorus and Music Teacher at Woodington Middle School, Anna Smith, First Grade Teacher at Southeast Elementary, Taylor Perry, 4th Grade Teacher at Banks Elementary, and Jessica Murphy, Exceptional Children's Teacher at Northeast Elementary for having been chosen by their mentors.

Each of these teachers exhibits the qualities of an exceptional educator. They each received a bag filled with teaching supplies, as well as a certificate of recognition and a brochure about Delta Kappa Gamma.
