Jones County Civic Center has the space to meet your needs
Jones County has a remarkable civic center located at 832 Highway 58 S in Trenton. The 18,000 square foot facility is a multi-purpose venue perfect for entertainment and meetings. The civic center is available for business, governmental agencies, schools, and private parties as well.
“I have seen it used for events of all types and sizes,” said John Bender, Jones County Economic Developer/Planner. “From major concerts, pageants and county events to meetings, birthdays, and weddings.”
The civic center has a large and a small auditorium. The large, at 11,644 square feet, has a capacity for 900-1200 people with a professional stage and dressing rooms on each side. The auditorium features professional lighting and soundboards for any type of production. The smaller, at 3,600 square feet, has a capacity for 200-300 people.
“The Jones County Civic Center can fill the need for anyone needing entertainment space,” said Bender. “It is also very conveniently located within miles of New Bern, Kinston, and Jacksonville, so it is easy to bring the crowd in from surrounding areas.”
Tables, chairs and a podium are provided at no additional cost. For an additional fee microphones, and a projector are available. If the event is serving alcoholic beverages other than beer, a NC ABC Commission Liquor Permit is required. Wireless or cable internet is available for use.
