LCC's production of A Christmas Carol - Meet the Actors

Lenoir Community College presents A Christmas Carol ~ A New Musical, in partnership with the LCC Foundation and Fine Arts Department November 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7:30 p.m., and November 13 and 20 at 3 p.m. in the Briley Auditorium on LCC’s campus. 

This musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, A Christmas Carol, brings the traditional story of Scrooge to life on the stage. Written by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer, and directed by LCC’s own, Jessica Cruz, this musical theater adaptation is faithful to the words of Charles Dickens and has been performed by professional theaters, community theaters, schools, and churches in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom over and again in recent years.

Meet the Actors 

Siobhan Brewer is thrilled to get back on stage after a 10-year hiatus from acting. Her previous stage appearances were as Claire in Proof (Ratio Theatre) and in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rivertowne Players). She has remained active in theatre directing and producing productions in the New Bern theatre community and at LCC, where she is an English instructor. Most recently she has directed The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (2021 New Bern Community Theater and 2019 LCC) and The Vagina Monologues (LCC 2020). She would like to thank her ever supportive husband, Ron, for allowing her to play and have this experience with both of her children. 

Ava Godwin is making her acting debut as Martha Cratchit. She was born in Columbia, SC and now lives in Kinston. She is a high school student at LCC. She said she has been in two shows before but not ones that she had to audition for, so she considers this her debut. 

CorMora Wells-Sherrod plays Elizabeth Cratchit and Charlotte Wilkins. She is currently a sixth grader at Eastern Wayne Middle in Goldsboro. She was first introduced to the LCC family with the musical production of Annie as an orphan. Since then, she has been competing nationally with Goldsboro Galaxy cheer squad of Champions in Motion. She enjoys singing and dancing and hopes to one day be a KPOP superstar. 

Lilly Ranieri plays Belinda Cratchit and Sally and she is so excited to be part of her first production at LCC. Lilly’s past productions include Rivertowne Players’ Charlotte’s Web and Alice in Wonderland. Lilly loves to perform and is thrilled to share the stage with her best friends and little brother. 

Christian Oleneack is playing the roles of Scrooge as a boy and Matthew Cratchit. He is an Elementary student in Craven County and is excited to be on stage in his very first show, and even more excited to share the stage with many of his friends. When he is not on the stage, you may find him in the jiu jitsu ring.   

Tanner Bryce Smith plays young Scrooge is excited to be back on the stage in Lenoir County.  He has a great love for acting and singing. He is excited to take part in his first production at LCC.  

Jude Brewer is making his first stage experience as Tiny Tim. He is a second grader and enjoys jiu jitsu and gaming when he is not on stage.  

Gabby Cruz is playing Belle. She is full-time student at LCC while also maintaining a full-time position at a Craven County Day Care Facility as a Lead Teacher. She has appeared in multiple shows in Craven County, and most recently played the role of an Urchin in Little Shop of Horrors at Elysian Players. When not on stage, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.  

Gianna Cruz is playing the role of a fan and she is in the ensemble. She has spent her entire life watching her older siblings perform on the stage. While she has performed alongside them many times, it has been this year that she has gained the confidence to audition for named roles. She is excited to share the stage with her oldest sister and many of her closest friends.
