Lenoir County Department of Social Services Plans Major Building Renovation
Beginning on or around the week of December 19, 2022, the Lenoir County Department of Social Services will begin a major building renovation that is projected to last through on or about March 31, 2023.
During the renovation period, the public will continue to be able to access services through the Department of Social Services located at 130 W. King Street in Kinston. The following services will continue to be available to the public by entering the King Street main entrance or going online via ePass (epass.nc.gov)

• Work First Family Assistance
• Work First Employment Services
The following services will be temporarily relocated to Courthouse Square located at 112 South Queen Street in Kinston. Entrance may be gained from South Queen Street.

The following services will be temporarily relocated to the 2nd Floor of the Kinston Fire Museum located at 118 South Queen Street in Kinston. Entrance may be gained by taking the stairs on the side of the building to the 2nd Floor.

For reporting child abuse, child neglect, or dependency or adult abuse, adult neglect or exploitation, please call (252) 559-6210 and ask for Intake Services or you may call the Lenoir County Communication Non-Emergency telephone number (252) 559-6118 and ask for the on-call Social Worker.
