Feb 28 Miss Neuse Scholarship Pageant is celebrating 43 years

The 2022 Miss Neuse Scholarship Pageant sponsored by Hugo Fire and Rescue will be held March 5th, 2022 at Kinston Lenoir County Performing Arts Center beginning at 7:00 p.m. Doors will open at 6 and Program will begin at 7. Tickets may be purchased from any contestant. All proceeds will benefit Hugo Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

Reid Taylor will serve as director for the 43rd year. Mandy Odom is the choreographer and Diane Howard serves as Pageant Chairperson. Joy Taylor Callahan will emcee the program and twelve young ladies will be competing in the following areas of competition: Interview which counts 30%, Creative Expression 15%, Talent 40% and Gown 15%. Scholarship monies in the amount of $7500. will be awarded.

Miss Neuse 2021, Leah Sugg will relinquish her title March 5th, 2022 at Kinston-Lenoir County Performing Arts Center. Leah is the daughter of Alena and Daniel Davis and Lee Sugg. She is a Junior at South Lenoir High School.
