Lenoir County Sheriff's Office: Bomb threat suspect charged for Lenoir County calls

The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office has charged Allen Ray Hardison III with two crimes related to bomb threats that were called into two local schools. Hardison was arrested by Greenville Police Department on January 28, 2022 after a chase in Greenville. Hardison was also charged by other agencies including Greenville Police Department and Washington Police Department.

Sheriff Ronnie Ingram said, "this person was calling in threats in numerous jurisdictions. Our detectives and other agencies were able to identify him as the suspect and swear out charges for his crimes."

Lenoir County Detective's charged Hardison with two counts of false report of mass violence on education property. These charges for a bomb threat called into North Lenoir High School on November 16, 2021 and Woodington Middle School on November 22, 2022. Hardison received a $40,000 secured bond and was confined in the Pitt County Detention Center.
