Jackie Rogers officially filed for Lenoir County Sheriff
Jackie Rogers filed to be a candidate for Lenoir County Sheriff on February 24, 2022.
Lenoir County has always been my home and the Sheriff's Star has always been a symbol of public trust in our community. Today I’m filing for Lenoir County Sheriff to serve the community I love and build that public trust. After more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, my goal is to help make Lenoir County a safer place for us to live and raise families.
As your Sheriff, I pledge to work with our education system to continue and improve school safety for our kids and teachers. My department will work with all our local first responders, police, fire, EMS, surrounding county Sheriffs, State and Federal agencies in an effort to reduce crime and make our community safer. I vow to create an open, transparent and approachable relationship with the citizens of Lenoir County in an effort to reduce crime and to build a proactive law enforcement agency that will target drug and gun violence. Also, it will be important to me as your Sheriff to foster an environment within the Sheriff’s Department that builds morale and is supportive of all employees.
A bit more about me: Family and faith are very important to me. I have been married to my wife, Dawn, for 24 years and we have two sons, Drew and Carson. I began my lifelong career in law enforcement with the City of Kinston as a police officer and then retired as Trooper with the State Highway Patrol.
To serve as the people’s Sheriff of Lenoir County would be an honor and I ask for your support and vote in the upcoming election.
