Public Notice: Lenoir County notice of public hearing of the Lenoir County Board of County Commissioners

Notice is hereby given that the Lenoir County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing at 9:00 am on Monday, May 2, 2022 or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Lenoir County Commissioners Chamber in the Lenoir County Courthouse (130 S Queen Street Kinston, NC 28501).

The following item will be heard: 1. A request by the Board of County Commissioners to consider adoption of the Harvey Parkway Area Plan; this plan is a land use policy document, which will provide recommendations for policies, planning initiatives, land use, and set forth goals for future development and economic growth.

This project is focused on a particular area, generally north of the City of Kinston City Limits and centers around the Harvey Parkway, extending north to the Lenoir/Greene County line. The aforementioned item may be changed or amended at the public hearing. Citizens are encouraged to attend and speak on the matter.
