Raney Rogers: Featured artist Manor Nobles to hold artist talk
Smart Gallery, 210 N. Queen St. in Kinston is hosting an Artist Talk Thursday, July 28th at 6pm.
Our featured artist is Maner Nobles, a woman who has had a long, very interesting life and career that has brought her to where she is presently – someone who is finally able to have the time and creativity to devote to painting, one of her first, true loves.
Maner loves people of all ages and types and enjoys conversation with others to learn more everyday about the lives of others. She has spent many years devoting herself to those around her and has a lively and childlike approach to living.
Maner's presentation will consist of her painting while talking about her life and sharing some of the more entertaining aspects of her experiences. It is obvious through the way Maner presents herself that she is filled with joy to be here and that joy is evident in the art that she creates.
Smart Gallery exhibits the work of Smart Kinston's artists and our offerings range from small cards, sketches, tiles and pottery to large scale paintings, detailed ceramics, jewelry, t-shirts and totes. You can find something for everyone by perusing our selections.
The Gallery is open Thursday through Saturday from 1-5 and each day one of our artists will be there to greet you and tell you about who we are and give you more information about any artist you are interested in learning more about.
Smart Gallery is a part of the Smart Kinston City Project Foundation which is a non-profit organization devoted to bringing practicing artists into the Mitchelltown Arts and Cultural District to live, work and share their art with the surrounding communities. Smart Kinston accepts donations from the corporate as well as private sector and is destined to grow and flourish by serving the arts and those who want to become a part of the arts through partnering, purchasing and supporting the artistic efforts of this community of “smARTists” as they are affectionately known.
