Obituary: Patricia Grant Edwards

Mrs. Patricia Grant Edwards, age 64, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday morning, January 13, 2023. Born February 19, 1958, she was the daughter of Reubin and Vivian Davis Grant.

Patricia was a longtime member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church where she was active in the Nursery and Children’s Ministry and stood by her husband’s side as he served the church as a Deacon and other offices. Talented with crocheting and knitting, she was known for the many baby blankets that she gave expecting parents in the church as a treasured gift on such a special occasion. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Patricia loved her Lord, her family, and adored her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by a brother, Mickey Alan Grant.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dennis Ray Edwards; sons, Clay Edwards and wife Andrea of Chinquapin, and Jared Edwards and wife Sarah of Kinston; granddaughters, Emma Edwards, Ava Edwards, and Laura Edwards; brothers, Frank Grant and wife Andrea, and Chris Grant both of Snow Hill; sister-in-law, Pam Grant of LaGrange; a devoted caregiver, Sandra Tucker of Kinston; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 6:30 PM Tuesday, January 17th, at Bethel FWB Church with Pastor Chris Truett officiating. Committal services will follow at 11 AM Wednesday, January 18th, at Snow Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening following the service, on Wednesday at the cemetery following the Committal, and other times at the residence.
