Obituary: Lillian “Cat” Tyndall Zimmerman

Lillian “Cat” Tyndall Zimmerman, 93, of Bayboro, NC passed away October 18, 2023 at Grantsbrook Nursing Home, Grantsboro, NC. She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Jones and Harry Zimmerman; parents, Rosabelle and Leslie Tyndall; son, James Kenneth Jones; son-in-law Gregory Paul Smith; brothers, Leslie J. Tyndall, Lushion L. Tyndall, Leon Tyndall, Linwood Tyndall, Leland Albert Tyndall, Louie Tyndall and sisters, Lelar Speight, Lois Houston and Louise Smith and great granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Richardson.

Lillian was a beautician, owning Lillian’s Beauty Shop for many years and enjoyed her customers and friends she worked with during this time. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and attended faithfully until her decline in health.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Susan Gayle Smith; grandchildren, Renee Miller and husband Robbie, James Kenneth Jones, Jr., Kelly Richardson and husband, Keith; great-grandchildren, Allie and Kason and sister, Lou Ann Spain.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Westview Cemetery, Kinston, NC at 12:00 noon with Pastor Mike Parker officiating.
