WILLIMANTIC, CT (11/02/2023)-- The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) at Eastern Connecticut State University provides ample opportunities for students to volunteer in the University's hometown of Willimantic. From supporting after-school programs to serving in the local soup kitchen and much more, Eastern students contribute in myriad ways to help alleviate many societal issues.

Deep Run resident Eduar Morales, a senior Accounting and Business Information Systems, is working as a CCE Student Leader this fall.

"When I was looking for job, I expected to end up working at Walmart or something, but this is so different," CCE leader Eduar Morales '24 said. "I want to show up to work and meet the people I work with and interact with the community."

Eastern Connecticut State University is the state of Connecticut's public liberal arts university, serving upwards of 4,000 students annually on its Willimantic campus.
