Investigation leads to arrest in child sexual assault case

On Saturday, October 28, 2023, members of the Kinston Police Department responded to UNC Lenoir in regards to investigating a sexual assault of a minor child that had occurred hours before. Investigators began following up on leads, and on Monday, October 30, 2023, warrants for Indecent Liberties with a Child were obtained on Calvin Holloway, 21, of Kinston.       

On Thursday, November 2, 2023, members of the Kinston Police Department, NC SBI, Lenoir County Sheriff's Office, and Greene County Sheriff's Office, took Holloway into custody in Greene County without incident.  Holloway has been placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a secured bond.

Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
