Man arrested on charges from three counties following foot chase
A man was arrested Wednesday in the Jackson Heights community following a traffic stop that led to a foot chase.
On Wednesday, detectives with the Lenoir County Street Crimes and Rapid Response (SCARR) unit conducted a traffic stop on a known wanted subject in Jackson Heights. The driver of the vehicle, Curtis Pate, pulled over for the detectives, but then fled from the vehicle on foot.
After a brief foot chase, Pate was taken into custody. The 39-year-old was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he was served with eight outstanding orders for arrest from Lenoir, Jones and Onslow County.
Pate was booked on secured bonds for all the processes.
