Humphrey appointed to another key legislative committee
RALEIGH, N.C. — Representative Chris Humphrey (R-Lenoir, Greene, Jones) has been appointed by House Speaker Tim Moore to serve on another key legislative committee, the House Select Committee on Oversight & Reform.
“I am deeply honored to be appointed to the House Select Committee on Oversight & Reform,” said Humphrey, “This responsibility underscores the vital importance of accountability and proper oversight in state government. I am committed to ensuring transparency and integrity in all our public institutions, fostering trust and efficiency in serving the people of North Carolina.”
The committee consists of 15 members appointed by the Speaker of the House and is charged with a broad scope of oversight functions of state government agency operations. The committee also reviews various policy proposals to enhance the efficiency of state government, while mitigating any fraud, waste, and abuse.
