Obituary: Ms. Dianne Sutton Bradicich
Ms. Dianne Sutton Bradicich, age 74, passed away Tuesday morning, February 14, 2023, at her home in Lenoir County. Born January 26, 1949, she was the daughter of Jesse Leon Sutton and Bruce Hardy Sutton.
Dianne was a 1967 graduate of the former Wheat Swamp School and continued her post-secondary education at the Medical College of Virginia where she graduated in 1969. A radiologist by profession, she worked in the medical radiology field for many years culminating to the position of Chief X-Ray Technician with Kinston Radiology prior to her retirement.
A lifelong and active member of Wheat Swamp Christian Church, Dianne loved being a part of the church and its many activities and ministries as long as her health permitted. She took great pride and joy in her yard and loved working in it and growing flowers of all types. Cooking and canning were also labors of love that she relished; her string bean casserole was well known as well as her spaghetti.
Dianne was very devoted to her family and through the years had been an exceptional caregiver to her parents and a dear aunt. A loving mother to her son, she was more than thrilled with the birth of her grandchildren and the joy they brought into her life; most days she joined them at school with a special lunch. She also had a close bond with her only brother, Leon Hardy Sutton, and rarely a day passed where they did not visit each other.
Dianne’s surviving family includes her devoted son, Chad Bradicich and wife Bonnie of Snow Hill; grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye, Emmalee Bradicich, Jaydan Bradicich, and Dylan Moore, all of Snow Hill; her dear brother, Leon Hardy Sutton of Kinston; and niece, Tracey Sutton Jones of Kinston.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, February 19th, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Pastor Hank Jarman officiating. Interment will follow at the Westview Cemetery in Kinston. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home of Ms. Bradicich.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Community Home Health and Hospice for the care and assistance they provided in the last weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wheat Swamp Christian Church, 3732 Wheat Swamp Road, LaGrange, NC 28551.
