Help wanted: Lenoir County Health Department - Part-time animal control
LENOIR COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
PART-TIME ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER - $16 PER HOUR
Description of work: The primary purpose of this position is to be knowledgeable and responsible for the enforcement of all assigned duties as outlined through State Statutes, County Animal and Rabies Control Ordinance, Humane Control Regulations, and the County Health Director and/or his designee. And to all other matters related to domesticate animals and/or those wild animals found in a human living environment. In carrying out these duties, act as liaison, an educator, translator, and enforcer for all animal related concerns.
Minimum training and experience: Graduation from high school and one year of experience as an animal control officer; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certifications: Must possess a Valid N.C. Driver’s License.
