Obituary: Dr. Hanan Shaker Kirollos
Dr. Hanan Shaker Kirollos, 58 of Kinston North Carolina passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at UNC Health Lenoir.
A private funeral service will be held at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Raleigh on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:30 AM. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2 PM at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Kinston.
Dr. Hanan Kirollos was born on January 8, 1965 in Assiut, Egypt to Gamal Shaker and Nagla Hakim. She grew up in Egypt and graduated from Assiut University. She later immigrated to the United States and joined her husband Dr. Alan Kirollos of Kinston (Cardiologist). She did her internal medicine residency and allergy fellowship at East Carolina University in Greenville and later had her private practice at Seaboard Allergy till last year. She was a member of UNC Health Lenoir medical staff. She attended church at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Kinston and when time allowed, St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Raleigh.
Dr. Hanan Kirollos was known for her commitment and dedication, strengths and smarts, and loyalty to friends and family, as well as her friendly nature and warm smile.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Kirollos of Kinston, her sons Mark Kirollos of San Francisco CA, Joseph Kirollos of Cleveland OH and John Kirollos of Chapel Hill NC; as well as her sister Amany Shaker of Greenville North Carolina and her loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UNC Health Lenoir, Bethel Free Will Baptist Church of Kinston and St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church of Raleigh.
