LCSO investigating suicide within Lenoir County Jail
The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suicide that took place in the Lenoir County Jail Tuesday.
Christopher Shawn Tyndall, 38, of Pink Hill, was found unresponsive in the jail and was transported to UNC Lenoir Health Care, where he later passed away.
Sheriff Rogers has requested the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation to conduct an investigation into the death.
Christopher Shawn Tyndall was arrested by Lenoir County Sheriff's Office deputies on May 25. His charges were:
* Assault inflicting serious bodily injury
* False imprisonment
* Non-support of a child
