LCSO: Woman found unresponsive, later arrested on drug charges
KINSTON — A woman who was found unresponsive in her vehicle was later arrested on multiple drug charges by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office patrol units.
On Sunday, the woman, Tammy Arnita Manning, was discovered unresponsive in her vehicle on Tick Bite Road in Grifton. When LCSO patrol units on A-Shift responded to the suspicious vehicle complaint, medical personnel were providing care to her. After gaining consent to search the vehicle, officers located 28 Oxycodone pills, cocaine, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Manning was placed into custody by the LCSO officers for the narcotics during the search and was transported to the Lenoir County Magistrates Office for processing.
She was charged with:
· Possession with the intent to sell or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance
· Possession of methamphetamine
· Possession of cocaine
· Felony maintaining a vehicle for keep/sale of a controlled substance
· Possession of drug paraphernalia
Manning received a secured bond for the charges.
