Arrest made after gunshots fired in the air on Ivy Road
The Kinston Police Department responded to a report of a subject in a vehicle fired a gun in the air on Ivy Road. Officers located the vehicle and identified the Stanley Miller. During the encounter, officers observed a firearm inside the vehicle that was in plain view. Further investigation revealed that Miller was a convicted felon and was arrested for POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY FELON and DISCHARGING A FIREARM INSIDE THE CITY LIMITS. During a search incident to arrest , Methamphetamine was located on his person. Additionally, Miller was charged with POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE (SCHEDULE II). Miller was placed in the LC Jail under a secured bond.
