Lenoir County Farmer’s Market update for Saturday, June 10, 2023. The Market open between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm Tuesday and Saturday.

Local culinary artist. Seraphim Smith, will be baking his signature cinnamon rolls for Saturday, June 10th. These tender and delicious rolls are made using a unique Austrian recipe which uses cardamom in addition to cinnamon. Get to the market early

Julie Brennan is baking up some of her absolutely delicious zucchini bread.If the thought of bread made from zucchini revolts you, as it did me, just brave up,  and try a sample. I loved it and  hope to get another loaf this Saturday.

PORTER FARMS is back at the  market for the spring and summer season. Jamie Porter reports: We have squash, zucchini, spring onions , cabbage, new potatoes all coming from our fields!! And Florida Tomatoes. Local blueberries and maybe some strawberries, Also SC peaches.

We also welcome our new vendor, who will bring collards, turnips, henpeck and mustard. Say hello to Darryl Davis of GREGORY FARMS  , a new farmer to our area.

Gwendolyn Grace Cookies and More is another new vendor at our market. Please give her a warm welcome and try her wonderful mini pies and cakes. . This week she is offering fruit pies and mini cakes. Each one is just the right size for one or for a party dessert. Gwendolyn welcomes advance orders for your special occasions.

TC SMITH PRODUCE is bringing broccoli, spring onions, SC peaches, Ivanhoe blueberries, strawberries, a variety of greens, (including kale,) sweet potatoes, freshly dug red potatoes, squash, zucchini, onions and tomatoes, plus a variety  of jarred jams, veggies and pickles.

TJ Designs Teri will have her charming home accessories and crafts on display this week. Be sure to stop by to admire (and buy !) her handiwork.

KETTLE STYLE SNACKS  will have pork skins, fried peanuts  and delicious funnel cakes. If you haven't tried one yet, do yourself a favor and "just do it" !

B & B Eggs and Crafts will be at the market this Saturday with spring designed crafts, some with beachy motifs, farm fresh eggs, and naturally grown "HEIRLOOM" tomato plants (CHEROKEE PURPLE and GERMAN JOHNSON). Sandra is in need of 12 count egg cartons. .If you have any to recycle, please stop them off at her section on Saturday or at the market office between 8:30 and 2 on Tuesday. Thank you

I also have squash, cucumbers, watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe.
