For the upcoming 2023 Municipal Election in Greene County and Lenoir County, filing opened on Friday, July 7, 2023, and ends at noon Friday, July 21, 2023, Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Jones County
Editor’s note:
The following is posted on the Jones County Board of Elections website: In 2023 HB88 was passed moving elections for the Town of Maysville and the Town of Pollocksville to even years. Therefore, these two towns will not hold elections in 2023.
The Town of Trenton is also expected to move its municipal election to even years. However, until which time we receive a formal indication that this has passed, we must proceed with candidate filing to begin on July 7 at noon for a November 2023 election. Candidate filing will end on Friday, July 21, at noon.
