Firearm incident leads to police chase, arrest in Kinston

The Kinston Police Department posted the following on their Facebook page:

09.11.2023

11:45 pm- Officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving Rakiem Moore pointing a firearm at an individual. Moore left the area prior to officers arriving.

A short time later, Officers located Moore in the area of S Queen Street and initiated a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, Moore became uncooperative and sped off. Officers pursed Moore until he came to a stop at his residence. He was taken into custody without further incident and he was placed in the LC Jail for the following:

-Felony Flee Elude

-Reckless Driving to Endanger

-Aggressive Driving

-Assault with a Deadly Weapon

-Possession of a Firearm by Felon

-Resisting a Public Officer

-Additional Traffic violations
