Mrs. Lindsey’s Child Care Marked 8-Year Anniversary with Special Event

Mrs. Lindsey’s Child Care, located at 3157 HWY 258 N, celebrated its 8th anniversary on Thursday, September 14th. Lindsey Whitley, the Owner and Administrator of the facility, had organized an all-day event for the occasion. The celebration was attended by the entire staff, along with the children enrolled at the center.

The day's activities, in commemoration of the 8 years of service, included appearances by well-known characters such as Chase from Paw Patrol, Bluey, Mickey, and Minnie Mouse. Attendees also enjoyed a pizza party, face painting, and an afternoon celebration.

Mrs. Lindsey’s Child Care, which serves children between the ages of 1-12 and operates from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, announced at the time that there was a waiting list, indicating the demand and trust it had garnered over the years in the community.

Lindsey Whitley, a Kinston native, provided some insight into her journey. She has dedicated 16 years to childcare, studied Early Childhood Education at LCC, and gained experience in diverse childcare settings. Expressing her long-held passion for child care, Whitley mentioned her desire to care for all age groups and to introduce her understanding of quality childcare to a center in Kinston. She acknowledged the unwavering support of her family and expressed gratitude to the families she served over the past 8 years, as well as her dedicated team.

With this event, the center aimed to show appreciation to the families for their trust and the opportunity they provided for caring for their children. The goal was to create a memorable day for the young attendees, placing them at the forefront of the celebration.
