Obituary: Annie Ruth Antwine Hill

Annie Ruth Antwine Hill, 92, of Kinston, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at UNC Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

A Graveside Service to celebrate her life will be conducted Friday January 5th, 2024, at 11am at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 5 to 7pm at Edwards Funeral Home. The family is also receiving friends at her home.

Annie was born in Lenoir County to the late Judge Bynum and Vivan Banks Antwine. She was employed by Kings Restaurant for many years and was known by many as just Ms. Annie. She had a special relationship with several people who worked with her for over 47 years.

Annie is survived by her daughter, Tonie Marie Hill; grandchildren, Gary (G.T.) Outlaw and wife Amber of Ayden, Sharon DeBonis and husband Edward of Kinston; sister, Virginia Turnage. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Leonard Hill; brothers, James Antwine, Forrest Antwine; sisters, Faye Lewis, Jean Carol Merritt, Ellen Orth, and Becky Arnette.
