Lenoir, Greene, and Jones Counties — Neuse News will host its annual Facebook Live Election Results Show on Tuesday, November 5, at 7:15 p.m., providing real-time updates on local, state, and federal races across the region. The event will be hosted by BJ Murphy and Catherine Hardee, alongside the entire Neuse News team, and is open to the public on Facebook.
The live broadcast will cover competitive races in Lenoir, Greene, and Jones Counties, as well as state and federal contests, including races for the NC House, NC Senate, Governor, US House, US Senate, and the Presidential election. Neuse News aims to offer timely and accurate results, helping residents stay informed as votes are counted.

In Greene County, key races include:
Greene County Board of Commissioners District 01: Incumbent Democrat James (Buddy) Shackleford will face Republican Robert L. (Bobby) Taylor, Jr.
Greene County Board of Commissioners District 02: Republican incumbent Derek Burress is up against unaffiliated candidate Berry Anderson.
Greene County Board of Education: Three candidates, including two incumbents, are vying for two seats.
Greene Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor: Bradley Harrison and Perry Baker are competing for the position.
Jones County will see contested races for:
Jones County Board of Education: Incumbents Billy Griffin and Schumata Brown face Democrat Brittney Meadows.
