Suspect arrested in connection to shots fired on N Queen

On Monday, October 28, 2024, at approximately 11:43 AM, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of N Queen Street and W Daniels Street. Upon arrival, B-Squad officers found evidence at the scene. Through their investigation, they identified 20-year-old Ja’mir Strong of Kinston as the individual responsible for the incident.

Detectives subsequently obtained warrants for Strong's involvement in the incident. On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, officers on B-Squad located Strong and took him into custody. He is currently being held in the Lenoir County Jail under a secured bond for the following charges: Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Going Armed to the Terror of the People, and Discharging a Firearm within the City limits.
