Obituary: Diane Creech Beaman
HOOKERTON: Mrs. Diane Creech Beaman, age 73, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 2, 2024, at UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston. A native of Greene County, she was born August 14, 1951, the daughter of John William and Peggy McLawhorn Creech.
Diane was a lifelong resident of the Hookerton Community having been raised on the family farm there. Most of her working years were spent with the former Albritton Company where she served as secretary to the company president. She was lifelong member of the Hookerton Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Reddin Stuart Beaman, Jr. on January 21, 2012.
Her surviving family includes her daughter, Candi Beaman of Hookerton; son, Stuart Beaman of Hookerton; grandchildren, Mason Daniel McElveen of Hookerton and Vici Beaman Bissette and husband, Craig of Wilson; a great-grandchild, Lawson Bissette; brothers, Bryan Creech and wife, Karen, and Alan Creech and wife, Flavia, all of Hookerton; and a special cousin that she considered a sister, Cindy Martz of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held graveside 2:30 PM Sunday, October 6th, at the Hookerton Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Allen Ham officiating.
The family will greet friends and extended relatives immediately following the service and other times at Mrs. Beaman’s home outside of Hookerton.
