Kinston man jailed after deputies find 453 grams of marijuana

A Kinston man was jailed Saturday when Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office B Shift patrol deputies executed a traffic stop and found 453 grams of marijuana in his vehicle.

The vehicle driven by Amal Devon Miller, 26, had a fictitious registration plate. When Miller was pulled over, the deputies discovered the marijuana — nearly a pound altogether — individually bagged. There was also a digital scale in the vehicle.

Miller was arrested and transported to the Lenoir County Magistrate’s Office for processing; he was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture or sell marijuana and displaying a fictitious N.C. registration plate on his vehicle. He received a $10,000 secured bond.
