Ronald McDonald House Charities of eastern NC prepares for a new chapter with Executive Director transition

Greenville, NC – As the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Eastern North  Carolina bids a fond farewell to its esteemed Executive Director, Meghan Woolard, the organization is  excited to announce the search for a dynamic new leader to usher in a new chapter of growth and  enhanced support for families in need.

Meghan Woolard has played a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the House through innovative  programming, fundraisers, and strategies to engage the community and loyal volunteers. Her dedication  and contributions for the last 6 years led the House through their first major expansion, adding 4  bedrooms and a new kitchen, dining room, playroom, laundry room, and storage facility. Under her  leadership, the organization has thrived, providing a home away from home for over 3,000 families facing  medical challenges.

“We express our heartfelt gratitude to Meghan for her unwavering commitment and commendable  achievements during her tenure,” states Winston Howell, Chair of the RMHC of Eastern NC Board of  Directors.

As the organization begins a new chapter, RMHC of Eastern NC is eager to welcome fresh perspectives  and innovative ideas. The upcoming transition marks an exciting opportunity for new leadership to bring  forth creative solutions and forge impactful relationships within the community. Through a generous  grant with RMHC Global, Ann Petrie has stepped in to provide executive leadership support to aid in the  transition. Petrie brings over 13 years of executive experience as former CEO of Ronald McDonald  House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin.

“As we embark on this search for a new Executive Director, we are energized to welcome someone who  will champion our mission with compassion and dedication for the families we serve during this  transition. Ann brings exceptional experience and expertise to this role, and we look forward to partnering  with her throughout the search for a permanent Executive Director,” says Howell.

Petrie is also optimistic about stepping in during the transition: “I have a passion for the mission of  RMHC and the remarkable work that this Chapter has accomplished over the last 37 years. I look forward  to partnering with the staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and donors to continue the momentum  through this transition.”

The Ronald McDonald House Charities is looking forward to continuing its vital role in supporting  families whose child is being treated at area hospitals. The search for a permanent Executive Director will  continue through this transition. Details will be posted soon on RMHC of Eastern NC’s website,  www.RMHCENC.org.
