Air Force and Naval Academies take the field this weekend

The Freedom Classic, a highly anticipated weekend baseball series between the Air Force and Navy, begins today through Sunday at historic Grainger Stadium.

Ticket sales for the Freedom Classic are underway. Prices range from free admission for active military personnel and children under three to $20 for a tournament pass, granting access to all three games.

Limited box seats are also available for $125. Game times are scheduled for Friday, February 23rd at 6 PM, Saturday, February 24th at 2 PM, and Sunday, February 25th at 12:30 PM, with pregame festivities commencing 30 minutes before each game.

For those unable to attend in person, downtown Kinston business Magic Mile Media will livestream the games with play by play announcer Ryan Pittman from Neuse News Sports. The games will stream on The Naval Academy’s YouTube page.

“We are thankful the Naval Academy Athletics entrusted us in showcasing this Division 1 classic in Kinston to fans worldwide,” said BJ Murphy, President of Magic Mile Media. “For those in town, come out to Grainger Stadium and support our nation’s future heroes.”
