Lenoir County Farmer's Market update for August 3, 2024

The Lenoir County Farmer’s Market is located at 100 North Heritage Street. The market is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. Most vendors accept EBT and Sunbucks, plus major credit cards.

Tickets are $12.00 and are available from Julie, Seraphim, the Cooperative Extension Office, or the Farmers Market office.

Breakfast begins around 8:30 AM.
The menu consists of eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, roasted potatoes, toast, coffee, sweet tea, and orange juice.

Good news for Tuesday's customers... Jen Rouse will bring farm-fresh eggs to the market.

FRESH FROM PORTER FARM
Porter Farms local watermelon, seeded and seedless. Porter Farms cantaloupe, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, okra, local sweet corn (bicolor and white, shucked and unshucked), blueberries, onions, South Carolina freestone peaches, and maybe some field peas.

FRESH FROM TC SMITH FARM
Corn, squash, zucchini, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, watermelon (Black Jack and Yellow fresh watermelon), peaches, blueberries, honeydew, cabbage, collards, kale.

SERAPHIM SMITH
Cinnamon rolls to die for and delicious gumbo.

GWENDOLYN GRACE COOKIES AND MORE
Gwen will have blueberry and peach cobbler this Saturday, both made with fresh fruit. Sounds delicious, doesn't it?

JULIE BABBIN
Julie will be at the garage door of the Rick Holder Annex/Tammy's Kitchen entrance. She has prepared breads, quick breads, and desserts.
