EPIC announces EPIC Toss Cornhole Tournament
New Bern, NC – August 23rd, 2024 – The EPIC Center is thrilled to announce the upcoming EPIC Toss Cornhole Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, October 5th at Whitford Plantation in New Bern. The event promises a day filled with fun, friendly competition, and community spirit, all while supporting a vital cause—helping women and families in Lenoir and Craven County.
The tournament will kick off with registration at 8:30 AM, followed by the first toss at 10:00 AM. Participants can look forward to a lively day of cornhole, where the winning team will take home $200 and a custom cornhole set. Second and third-place teams will also be rewarded with $100 and $50, respectively. Beyond the prizes, this event offers a unique opportunity for community members to come together, relax, and enjoy the day with friends and neighbors. The EPIC Toss Cornhole Tournament is more than just a game; it’s a chance for the community to make a meaningful impact. All proceeds from the event will go directly toward supporting the EPIC Center’s efforts to empower women and remove barriers to motherhood.
"The EPIC Toss Cornhole Tournament is not just about having fun—it’s about coming together as a community to make a real difference," said Emma Barnes, Executive Director of the EPIC Center. "Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping women facing unplanned pregnancies, providing them with the resources and support they need to embrace motherhood."
The EPIC Center encourages everyone to spread the word and invite friends, family, and neighbors to join in the fun. Every toss, every cheer, and every contribution plays a part in saving lives and supporting families in Eastern North Carolina.
