Shooter in Brown’s Plant shooting faces attempted murder charges

An attempted murder warrant — along with two other warrants — has been issued for the shooter in the Aug. 7 shooting at Brown’s Plant and Seeds on Hwy 258 North.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has issued warrants for Kevin Lee Morris, 41, of Kinston, for attempted murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a stolen firearm.

Anyone who has seen or knows where Morris is located is asked to contact the LCSO at 252-559-6118. Residents may call in and give information anonymously. Morris may have altered his appearance since the crime.
