Kinston man receives two drug charges following traffic stop

A Kinston man received two drug charges following a traffic stop on Friday.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted a traffic stop on Vincent Herring, 40, where detectives found 1 gram of methamphetamine and 2.2 grams of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with felony possession of Schedule II and simple possession of marijuana.

Herring was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he received a $5,000 secured bond.
