Two arrested in connection with stolen wallet and credit card incident

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 11:08 AM, D-Squad officers received a report regarding a stolen wallet and credit cards. It was reported that the suspects attempted to use the stolen credit cards at a local convenience store.

Following a thorough investigation, officers identified the suspects and secured warrants for their arrest.

On September 25, 2024, Jarret Edwards, 36, of Kinston, was apprehended and charged with:

Obtaining Property by False Pretense

Resisting a Public Officer

Financial Card Fraud

The following day, September 26, 2024, Simon Johnson, 40, also of Kinston, was taken into custody and faces charges of:

Felony Conspiracy

Resisting a Public Officer

Possession of Stolen Goods
