Christine Kowalczyk to share expertise at Social Media Summit 2025 in Kinston
Christine Kowalczyk, an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at East Carolina University (ECU), is set to join industry experts at the Social Media Summit 2025 (SMS2025) as a panelist. The event, scheduled for January 31, will focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and social media marketing, under the theme "AI + Social: Innovate | Automate | Dominate."
Hosted by Magic Mile Media in collaboration with Lenoir Community College’s Small Business Center and Visit Kinston, the summit aims to provide attendees with actionable strategies and insights to navigate the evolving digital landscape.
Kowalczyk brings a wealth of experience to the panel. At ECU, she teaches Marketing Strategy in the MBA program, blending practical learning with industry collaboration. “I am passionate about empowering students through practical learning experiences and industry collaborations, including using AI in the classroom,” she shared. Her research focuses on brand management and consumer behavior, with an emphasis on celebrity brands and influencers.
With a PhD in Business from the University of Memphis and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia, Kowalczyk’s academic and professional background underscores her expertise in the field.
When asked about her participation in SMS2025, Kowalczyk expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to exchange ideas and insights. “I am interested in sharing my knowledge about using AI in academia and learning about how our local businesses and communities are engaging and using AI,” she said.
Kowalczyk will join other panelists to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in social media marketing, contributing her perspective on how academic and professional worlds can intersect in this rapidly evolving space.
