Two LCPS students selected for national Presidential Scholars Program
From Lenoir County Public Schools Facebook page:
Two Lenoir County Public School students were selected to represent North Carolina in the national Presidential Scholars Program. Established in 1964, The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program recognizes and honors distinguished graduating high school seniors. These students were nominated by LCPS, and then chosen by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction to represent the state. This is the first time in LCPS history to have two students selected the same year!
Rachel Noble of South Lenoir High School has been selected as a North Carolina CTE Presidential Scholar- she is one of just five students from North Carolina moving on in the CTE program.
Lesley Wiggins of North Lenoir has been selected as a North Carolina Academic Presidential Scholar.
