Kinston Police Department arrests Benjarman Carraway on multiple charges
On January 25, 2025, investigators with the Kinston Police Department obtained warrants for the arrest of 36-year-old Benjarman Carraway of Goldsboro, NC. Carraway is facing charges of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
On January 27, 2025, officers received information that Carraway was inside an apartment on Roseanne Drive in Kinston. Officers conducted surveillance and observed Carraway entering the apartment. Officers from the C-Squad, Investigations, and Support Services units quickly responded to the scene and took Carraway into custody without incident.
Carraway is currently in the process of being booked and has not yet appeared before a magistrate.
