C-Squad seizes two illegally possessed firearms overnight

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Adkin Street and observed an extended firearm magazine protruding from underneath the driver’s seat. Upon further investigation, officers located a concealed firearm inside the vehicle. A 17-year-old female passenger admitted ownership of the firearm. The weapon was seized, and officers will be working with Juvenile Justice to obtain petitions for carrying a concealed gun and possession of a handgun by a minor.
February 20, 2025 – 2:10 AM
Officers conducted a traffic stop on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. While speaking with the driver, Quentin Jones (36, of Kinston), officers noticed part of a concealed firearm. Jones was removed from the vehicle, and the firearm was recovered. He was cited and released at the scene for carrying a concealed weapon.
