Magic Mile Media Announces (paid) Internship Program

Ready to dive into the fast-paced world of digital media? Magic Mile Media, Inc. and its dynamic local news division, Neuse News, are thrilled to announce the opening of applications for their highly competitive 2025 Summer Internship Program! This isn't just any internship; it’s a launchpad for your future career, offering unparalleled hands-on experience in the heart of a thriving digital environment.

Imagine yourself mastering the art of visual storytelling through photography and videography, or becoming a social media marketing guru, creating content that captivates and engages audiences. At Magic Mile Media, you'll do all this and more. You will actively contribute to exciting projects, including the celebrated BBQ Fest on the Neuse, making a real impact from day one.

This exclusive program runs from April 28 through the end of July and seeks only the most dedicated and driven individuals. With a limited number of spots available, we're looking for at least two, but no more than four exceptional interns. One coveted position will be dedicated to Neuse News, while one or more will join the Magic Mile Media team.

And here’s the deal this year we’re offering a paid internship. We value your talent and time, which is why we’re offering $10 per hour for your work. The program requires a commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week, with primary work days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility for school schedules and when required for special events.

Aleatha Thrower, Vice President of Operations at Magic Mile Media, says, "We are looking for strong, independent, adventurous types of students that like to laugh, want to learn and are willing to try new things. It is about contributing, creating, growing, learning, and diving deep into our office culture from day one.”

From day one, you’ll be an integral part of our team culture and included in all intern activities. You'll collaborate with fellow interns, brainstorm ideas, and contribute to a supportive and energetic environment.

Are you up for the challenge? If you're a high school junior or senior, or a college student, with a valid driver's license, we want to hear from you. This is more than just an internship, it's your chance to make your mark in the media world.

"This year, we are excited to offer a dedicated internship focused on Neuse News, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in local journalism,” said Neuse News Assistant Publisher Kristy Kelly. “We’re committed to training our interns in the fundamentals of newsgathering, from photography to writing, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute to our team."

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to get a head start on your future. Apply now – these spots won't last long!

“Did I mention it is a lot fun?” said Thrower. “And once you are part of this team you are part of this team forever.”
