Melissa Dixon appointed as Greene County’s New Elections Director
The Greene County Board of Elections has announced the appointment of Melissa Dixon as the county’s new Elections Director. Dixon, a lifelong Greene County resident, will officially begin her role on Monday.
Dixon brings over 13 years of experience serving the community as an Instructional Assistant at Lenoir Community College’s Greene County campus. She has dedicated her career to education and student support, making a lasting impact on those she has worked with. Her strong ties to the county and passion for public service position her well to lead the elections office.
In addition to her professional background, Dixon is actively involved in the community and enjoys traveling—especially cruises and anything Disney-related. She is also an avid crafter, with skills in painting, crocheting, and cross-stitching. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and reading.
The Greene County Board of Elections encourages the community to extend a warm welcome to Dixon as she steps into this important role. She can be reached at Melissa.Dixon@GreeneCountyNC.gov.
