Two Greene County men arrested in Kinston; three guns and drugs seized
A quick response by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of three firearms on Thursday.
Steven Montrell Hagans, 19, and Jaylen Malik Baker, 20, both of Greene County, were in a vehicle stopped on North Queen Street in Kinston by patrol deputies from the LCSO’s B and C shift. The deputies were responding to a “Be on the Lookout” (BOLO) call from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
During the traffic stop, deputies discovered three firearms and a bag of marijuana, leading to the arrests of Hagans and Baker.
Hagans was charged with:
· Felony possession of a stolen firearm
· Misdemeanor carrying a concealed firearm
· Misdemeanor possession of Schedule VI controlled substance
He received a $10,000 secured bond.
Baker was charged with felony possession of a stolen firearm. He received a $10,000 secured bond.
