Kinston Police apprehend robbery suspects
On July 20th, 2023, at approximately 9:00am officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that occurred on the 2100 block of West Rd. in Kinston N.C. Upon arrival officers met with the victim who described two subjects that had robbed him of his belongings and ran into a residence on West. Rd. Officers were able to arrest one suspect within a matter of minutes. As officers gathered additional information, members of the Kinston Police Departments SWAT Team and the Lenoir County Sheriffs Office Special Response Team converged on the residence to apprehend the second suspect. A short time later the second suspect was called from the residence and arrested without incident. At this time, the case is still under investigation and there are no additional threats to the citizens.
