Fresh off helping county residents during Hurricane Florence, the Lenoir County American Red Cross is making a move.
For the last three weeks, students at Snow Hill Primary have been collecting nickels to help the folks of Nebraska.
The Kinston Fire Department is teaming up with the American Red Cross for a ‘Sound The Alarm’ event, to be held Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Over the coming days and weeks we are going to see a tremendous need for support. More than 170 blood drives have been forced to cancel through this week due to Hurricane Florence, resulting in more than 4,600 uncollected blood and platelet donations.
LCC, NLHS and SLHS will all open as emergency shelters on Thursday, September 13th at 7:00 AM.
The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson was created by the World Waterpark Association in 2010 as a platform to communicate the fundamental importance of teaching children to swim. On Thursday, June 21 147 children lined up at Lion’s Water Adventure to participate in this swim lesson.
